الْمَقْطَعُ الْأَوَّلُ (الِاسْتِعْدَادُ وَالْوُضُوءُ)

قُمْ فِي الْفَجْرِ نَشِيطاً وَابْدَأْ
حِينَ تَقُومُ بِذِكْرِ اللهْ
وَتَوَضَّأْ بِنَشَاطٍ هَيَّا
لَا تَسْتَصْعِبْ بَرْدَ مِيَاهْ
وَاسْتَقْبِلْ قِبْلَتَكَ وَكَبِّرْ
لَا إِسْلَامَ بِغَيْرِ صَلَاةْ
Rise at dawn, energetic, and begin;
when you rise, with the remembrance of Allah;
make wudūʾ briskly, come;
don't find the cold water hard;
face your qiblah and say the takbīr —
there is no Islam without prayer
الْمَقْطَعُ الثَّانِي (حَقِيقَةُ الصَّلَاةِ)

صَلِّ بِإِخْلَاصٍ وَخُشُوعٍ
وَانْوِ الْعَمَلَ لِوَجْهِ اللهْ
وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ صَلَاتَكَ صِلَةٌ
بَيْنَ الْعَبْدِ وَبَيْنَ اللهْ
تَمِّمْ أَرْكَاناً وَشُرُوطاً
وَادْعُ بِأَنْ يَقْبَلَهَا اللهْ
Pray with sincerity and humility;
and intend the deed for the face of Allah;
and know that your prayer is a bond
between the servant and Allah;
complete the pillars and conditions;
and pray that Allah accepts it

الْمَقْطَعُ الثَّالِثُ (فَضْلُ الصَّلَاةِ وَأَثَرُهَا)

فُرِضَتْ فِي يَوْمِ الْإِسْرَاءِ
بِمَكَانٍ عَالٍ وَسَمَاءْ
هِيَ تَزْكِيَةٌ لِلْأَخْلَاقْ
هِيَ تَطْهِيرٌ لِلْإِنْسَانْ
مَنْ أَدَّاهَا دُونَ نِفَاقْ
زَانَتْهُ بِنُورِ الْإِيمَانْ
It was made obligatory on the Night Journey,
in a lofty place and the heavens;
it is a purification of character,
it is a purification for the human;
whoever performs it without hypocrisy,
it adorns him with the light of faith

فِي الْجَنَّةِ تُرْفَعْ دَرَجَاتِي
وَأُؤَدِّيهَا طُولَ حَيَاتِي
إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِإِخْبَاتْ
وَرَجَائِي دَوْماً وَدُعَائِي
يَا رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ صَلَوَاتِي
When my prayers are accepted from me,
in Paradise my ranks are raised;
and I perform them all my life,
God willing, with humble devotion;
and my hope always and my supplication:
O my Lord, accept my prayers
